Mental Health Awareness Project:

Your task is to create a skit and present to the class in groups of 2 or 3.  The goal of the skit is to educate the audience about the mental health issue/illness you picked.  For your skit, you need to:
  • Describe the issue/illness
  • State symptoms and causes (how can you tell if someone is suffering from it?)
  • Provide facts and stats on the issue/illness (based on your age group)
  • Discuss treatment and support available
​Remember, this is a skit, a short play.  You need to decide on a scenario that this dialogue will play out and the description of the characters in the skit.  Do not just memorize the lines and recite.  Have a beginning, middle, and end.

What you are handing in:  Your script with scenario, character descriptions, and dialogues.  Also indicate who is playing what part.

Your skit needs to be min 5 mins and max 10 mins.  There will be a Q&A following the skit.  Make sure you know details about the mental illness/issue you picked.
